🍽 Weekly PR Recipe: Does your audience know what you are selling?
A quick dish to help you hype yourself this week
Hiya 🌊,
This week features one of my most popular social media dishes.
If you have been following me on Instagram or LinkedIn for a while, you know I am a big fan of a signature dish called ‘Ways to Work with Me’.
If we don’t remind our audience what we sell, they won’t know what they can buy from us…
Micro bill-boarding for social media:
This is predominantly used as a pinned post on social media channels
Substack upsell
If you are also on Substack, I would consider a version of this as a pinned post on your publication; see the dietary requirements below for your twist.
This is my second PR Recipe, designed to be easy and flexible and to get you flexing those PR muscles week after week.
If you missed last week, you can catch up here.

This week’s PR Recipe is a crowd-pleaser that you can easily make at home as part of your Hype recipe repertoire.
For the best cooking results, ensure you know the exact measurements of your products and services before serving (read: know your pricing and what is included).
Dish: Ways to Work with Me
PR cooking level: Advanced (you must know what you are selling)
Time to prepare: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Ingredients:
1 Part Signature Service – Showcase up to 3 core products or services you offer
2 Parts Personal Connection – Include a photo of yourself and hyper-personalized content explaining why now is the perfect time to connect
A Pinch of Creativity – Add an engaging or unique twist to make your post stand out
Instructions:
Step 1: Identify your top 1-3 signature products or services. Think about what you want to be known for and how you can best serve your audience.
[Consider showcasing different pricing levels:
1. Free / minimal investment
2. Core product or service and
3. A higher bespoke service]
Step 2: Craft your post. I recommend the carousel format and start with a bold, clear headline: “Ways to Work with Me” (optional: add the year)
Step 3: Make it personal! Use a photo of yourself to help connect with your audience on a human level. The more authentic, the better. Or perhaps you have illustration elements or graphics unique to you?
Step 4: Create one (or two slides max) and include a brief description for each service. Focus on how each one addresses a current need for your clients. Maybe even address who it is for e.g., DIY services vs Done for You services.
Step 4: Is there a good reason for a why now? Is there a limited-time offer, a timely event, or a pressing need your audience has? Make sure they understand why this is the perfect moment to take action.
Step 5: Sprinkle in some creativity. Could you incorporate a testimonial or a behind-the-scenes shot? What is unique to you and your brand? Get creative and refresh the usual format.
Step 6: Pin your post to your social media channels. Be sure to tag me, and I’ll comment on your post so you're not left hanging!
Garnish: Pin this dish whilst it is piping hot on all your social media channels and tag me. Example from
below with her pinned version on InstagramOr I also love this recent example from
on LinkedIn👩🏻🍳 Pro Tip:
Remember: Do not get disheartened if nobody comments. This is not for engagement. This is so that when your audience walks past your restaurant, they understand your opening hours and the dishes you serve.

Please note: You will never feel like it is perfect, and that is more than okay; it is normal. This is why we revisit the dish.
Dietary replacements: Only on Substack and hate social media? I gotcha
🥗If you have a social media presence but not active I would still use the recipe above and pin it on social media so if anyone does look for you, it is there. I call it micro-billboarding.
✍🏼 On your publication ‘About Page’ include your ‘Ways to Work with Me’ dish using the brief description of each service from Step 4 above.
🌟 Feeling brave? Write a newsletter post and email all subscribers about how they can work with you outside of reading your newsletter.
🥒 Just getting started? Include some bullet points about how to work with you at the bottom of your emails (I’ve included an example from me below).
Over to you…
Feeling brave? Pop links to your Ways to Work with Me below, and I’ll give you some love.
Oh, and can someone check that I do mine please?

I needed this today! I have been carrying forward the task to reintroduce myself online. It will happen this week, perhaps even today. I'll post an update here as I need the accountability. More soon :)
Oh flipping brilliant. Sounds so obvious and yet I haven’t done it in ages. Doing it today!
