Mine is here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/clairebown/ although looking at it now, I wonder whether I should highlight my book more!? Or all of the things I do...

I love how it shows off all the things you do. I wonder if there is main link to direct us to for the book or for you? A url? Just a thought

Thanks! Do you mean a URL on the banner itself? I have a ‘visit my website’ in the blurb below but it’s not screaming out for attention…😂

I love yours, Claire! It feels fresh and inviting

Thank you! I had a bit of fun on Canva creating it 😂

I love the business segments at the top. You can tell you are an expert with this because your proportionizing (made up word but I'm fine with it) and contrast fonts are so clear!

I love that word!! And thank you ☺️

Ooo nice one!

Thanks Ange!! I didnt add anything about the book on it though 🤔

Expand full comment

You can always add it in... it will look fab there.

Yep I think that’ll be added to this weeks list!

I love the two images. And your call to action for LinkedIn to DM. Is this where your primary audience are based?

Yes!

Thank you 🙏🏽🤗

Hi Lucy, I had mine done recently www.linkedin.com/in/lauriemac

This is gorgeous. Love the colour palette and font selection. Super slick and professional and totally speaks to the audience you serve. I love this.

Hi Lucy, here’s my link: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mindfulpili/

I updated the banner when I started my publication in Substack a month ago. Any suggestions are quite welcome. Thank you!

Expand full comment

hi Pili, I got a bit nosy here but a quick bit of advice would be to adjust your text to be over 3 lines so when you view it on mobile your profile pic isn't covering some of it :)

Thanks Leanne! I appreciate it ✨

Expand full comment

Yes, second what Leanne says. As you do have a lot of the wording in the banner in the bio I wonder if you can make the banner a bit shorter so then your font can have more impact as you will have more space?

(It's something I find super hard to do!)

Thanks Lucy!

I updated mine last week after much delay and faffing! I'm sure there is much I can improve. https://www.linkedin.com/in/leegriffith/

Thanks for the recipe! Here's mine: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alisamurphy/

I love it! My only note would when I check on my phone the alignment means I can only read « corporate and find that brings you life » so maybe you can justify it to the right a bit more of bunch it together more centralised? X

Expand full comment

Good tip, thank you! I only checked it on desktop! X

I haven't updated my LinkedIn profile since 3 years, when I left my corporate job. So the profile is work in progress, I've changed the banner and would love to hear your thoughts:

Expand full comment

This is great but when I look on my phone the writing is blocked and a bit hard to read. Could you make it a larger font size and centralise it or right position it?

Expand full comment

Does this look better? Note to self to always check how it looks on mobile!

Expand full comment

Yes! Much better but if I’m being ultra picky k think you could still afford to make URL a tiny bit bigger

Expand full comment

Thank you! I've made it just a tad bit bigger.

This is amazing. Thank you for sharing these ideas and examples.

Awww I’m so pleased you found it helpful! Let me know what you come up with!

Noodling on it right now. Also, I appreciate learning how to spell "zhuzh". lol. That one has been a head-scratcher for a while.

Hi Lucy,

Thanks for doing this, my link is https://www.linkedin.com/in/ihatenumbers/

This may be a duplicated post since something odd is going on with my logging in (I also rejoined)

I noted your comment below re the book. I have a book published 'I Hate Numbers' , but it is more for small business, artist, freelancers - not the arts & creative organisations I am looking at for LinkedIn - am I overthinking this?

Best

Mahmood

Welcome back! You could always cut the banner in half. Small business, artist freelancers - buy my book I hate numbers. Arts & creative organisations book me to consult for you? (Not the right wording just trying to show a difference).

Expand full comment

Thanks Lucy. I'm going to go and add a 'buy my book' bit to mine!

Oooh yes! Share a link with us after!

Feels like a holding banner for now, but it's a bit more CTA than before, which will hopefully nudge some buyers to start ordering it from the high street....

Mine's okay, but still a work in progress, now that I want to bring attention to more than my newsletter. https://www.linkedin.com/in/christopher-anselmo-31aa2a7/

Two quick things you could marinade on:

1. Add to your author at hello, adversity and add coaching for XX in your bio.

2. I love your story in the about page but I wonder if you start up top with the sales bits and then you can lead into the story?

Thanks Lucy! This is great advice.

Hi Lucy, this had been on my todo list for ages and I got around to it a few weeks ago https://www.linkedin.com/in/lizzy-maskey/

Really liking the cleanness of others - I wonder if I need to simplify it a little?
