Hiya π,
Iβm really enjoying sharing the geeks of their niche from my network to help you Hype yourselves in new ways.
Last month Alex Merry, a public speaking coach who turns founders into thought leaders, helped us think about how we can position ourselves as thought leaders to make an income from paid-for public speaking. The replay is here if you missed it.
One of his takeaway tips: challenge the status quo in your industry.
This is something I see School of Facilitation founder, Kirsty Lewis do on a regular basis.
We regularly joke that talking through slides for an hour is not a workshop which unfortunately does seem to be the status quo π« .
How to design better workshops is not one of the most requested topics from the Hype Yourself community. You might be asking why I have invited Kirsty to come and teach us just that?
Well, because sometimes we donβt know, what we donβt knowβ¦
Ever wondered how some workshops engage, enliven and electrify whilst others feel a bit meh?
Well there are some simple steps you can take to bring your workshops to life that will have participants connecting with you, the content, the ideas and the outputs.
Kirsty is going to help us hype ourselves through workshops. She shares so much gold about teaching not just virtually but face-to-face and the different strategies and techniques we can easily use to make this better.
Many of us, as authors, service-based business owners, and founders, would love to expand our revenue streams. So we start teaching workshops with ZERO formal training. The problem is, unless we receive constructive feedback we risk at best not doing our expertise justice and at worst causing reputational damage.
Kirsty has not only taught hundreds of workshops she is the founder of School of Facilitation, you can see more about her here.
In this micro masterclass, weβll cover:Β
We will discuss why having a clear purpose is essential, how creating ownership and safety will enable better engagement, and share a workshop framework to make it easy for you to craft your next masterpiece.
Bring your workshop ideas and challenges and letβs work through them together
Format: 60 minutes of workshop about how to do better workshops π§ .
If you canβt make the session, please post any of your questions for Kirsty below, and Iβll ask her so you can view them in the replay.
