Today’s post was originally a long, choppy piece summarising why I moved to France. I sent it to
to give me her honest feedback.I know myself well enough to know if I’m emailing it for someone else to look at - it’s not right.
From exchanging voicemails over the years, Antonia flagged that there were certain points I had skimmed past that she knew were a bigger deal to me.
I’ll be honest with you. Writing business prompts or sharing solopreneur knowledge comes easier to me. But I didn’t join Substack for an easy business project. I also wanted to grow and learn as a writer.
I know many of my readers are also ex-pats or wannabe ex-pats, and it’s been a pivotal part of my life and work, so I’m going to start a mini-series around France, starting with one of the many reasons why we left.
Not being able to keep up with the costs of our London property was one of them.
