I live with two heart miracles without which I wouldnāt have built up my uncertainty muscles to have made the final move out here.
One is the cofounder of my children. He was treated for a heart malformation by a surgeon called Dr LeCompte when he was 3.5 years old, who created this manoeuvre, my husband being one of the first to trial it. It is now performed on babies as young as two weeks old.
The other is my second child, who was born with three complex heart malformations and 1 vsd (otherwise known as a hole in your heart) in 2019. Iāve been told only three surgeons in the world have the knowledge and ability to save him, and we had one. His surgery was so unique and pioneering it was written up in the European Heart Journal.
